With a four-decade long career that has seen more than 125 million records sold worldwide, thirty-six Top 40 hits, a Grammy, a Golden Globe and thousands of sold-out shows all over the globe, Neil Diamond remains one of the most vital and innovative forces in modern music. His new album, Home Before Dark, hasn't lost any potency that we've come to love and expect from "The Diamond". All of the arrangements are stripped to the core and have nothing frivolous about them. Neil really trusted his innate talents and focused on presenting a complete collection of songs that put forth a consistent message and tone.

Megan,
My, my aren't you brave? I very rarely dare to expose myself as a stalker. (and I totally do it...all the time!)
I just downloaded this album from napster. (I pretty much got a free subscription.) I haven't listened to it at all yet though. This makes me excited to hear it. I'll have to listen to it tomorrow. It's laundry day, and I cannot imagine a more delightful thing to overcome nasty folding...than a little Neil. (I won't lie though, I'm pretty sure there will have to be a little Love On the Rocks and Brother Love thrown in with the new songs...just for singing's sake)
Thanks again for your comment. New commenters make me a little more giddy than they probably should.
Oh, and PS...kudos to you for keeping up writing on like 15 blogs. You're amazing!
